This is so important to advocate for! I was reading a little more about this online and an article said that the Great Lakes supply water for 30 million people! So without a doubt, I believe that fine prices shoud be very high for putting any sewage into the water and regulation should be very strict. Too many get away with it but this Act would help change that!
ReplyDeleteEver since watching the "Tapped" video on water bottles, I have become very aware and passionate about our water quality. Here in Duluth, we have some the cleanest water and that our is one of our rights. Having people dump sewage in there is rather disgusting and we then become less known for our clean water. I take pride in having clean, enjoyable drinking water and I think everyone else should too.
ReplyDeleteI worry about what will come of the great lakes area in the coming years. i know we have a large portion of all the drinkable water left in the world so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the industry in processing the lakes take off. I only hope that in dosen't completely destroy the environment around here.
